VANILLA

Rules
Play by the rules and be confident in every result.
General Provisions
1.1 By playing on RustArena servers and using any project resources (website, Discord, and other platforms), you automatically agree to all current project rules. These rules apply to all official resources, including game servers, the website, Discord, and other project services.
1.2 Ignorance of the rules does not exempt a player from responsibility for violations.
1.3 Project administration may change, supplement, or edit these rules at any time without prior personal notice. The current version is published on official project resources.
1.4 Administration independently determines whether a violation occurred, its severity, and the penalty, based on the violation, circumstances, and the player’s violation history. Possible penalties include, but are not limited to:
- a warning;
- chat mute;
- temporary account ban;
- permanent account ban;
- ban of all linked accounts.
1.5 The player is fully responsible for account security and for all actions performed on the account, regardless of who actually logged in.
1.6 A ban on one account may extend to all linked accounts, including alts and accounts linked by technical indicators. This applies to server bans and anti-cheat bans.
1.7 Attempts to evade punishments by any means (new accounts, third-party accounts, identity concealment, etc.) are strictly prohibited.
1.8 In case of technical failures, server errors, rollbacks, wipes, loss of items, progress, currency, or other in-game value, administration is not obliged to restore or compensate them.
1.9 Using, concealing from administration, or spreading information about bugs, server vulnerabilities, game mechanic flaws, or attempts to bypass game limits is strictly prohibited.
1.10 Exploiting ambiguities in project rules, deliberate misinterpretation, or creating situations to bypass restrictions is prohibited.
1.11 Any actions aimed at undermining stable project operation are prohibited, including but not limited to:
- spreading false information about the project;
- deliberate discreditation of the project;
- attempts to disrupt servers or services;
- organizing mass destructive actions.
1.12 Distribution, storage, use, or advertising of third-party software, modifications, scripts, macros, or other means that provide a gameplay advantage is prohibited.
1.12.1 Any OS, software, or system modifications that prevent third-party software checks or distort check results are prohibited.
1.13 A player may file a complaint against another player or administration via the official website (Help → Report).
1.14 A player may appeal a penalty within 72 hours of receiving it.
1.15 When using reports, the player must follow communication standards:
- profanity is prohibited;
- insults toward players and staff are prohibited;
- off-topic messages are prohibited;
- excessive CAPS is prohibited;
- demanding resources, privileges, or material benefits from staff is prohibited;
- mass spam reports for one situation are prohibited;
- knowingly false reports are prohibited;
- administration may withhold information related to in-game checks and internal processes.
1.16 Administration is not responsible for in-game agreements between players (trades, deals, alliances, verbal agreements, etc.). Such actions are at the player’s own risk.
1.17 All paid services and privileges are provided voluntarily. In case of account bans, wipes, technical failures, or other situations, refunds and compensation are not guaranteed and are reviewed individually by administration.
Communication Rules
2.1 Any form of insults, humiliation, bullying, racism, nationalism, discrimination, religious hostility, sexism, and other toxic behavior is prohibited in chats, voice channels, Discord, and other project platforms.
2.2 Open or veiled provocations, aggression, toxic behavior, and pressure toward administration, players, or the project are prohibited.
2.3 Real-life threats, DDoS threats, doxxing, leaking personal data or photos, and harassment outside gameplay directed at players or staff are prohibited.
2.4 Insults toward relatives and any statements affecting players’ or staff personal lives are prohibited.
2.5 Flood, spam, intentional chat clutter, excessive messaging, and CAPS abuse are prohibited.
2.6 Spreading false information about the project, administration, updates, wipes, or server operation is prohibited.
2.7 Impersonating administration, moderators, partners, or other project representatives is prohibited.
2.8 Advertising third-party projects, servers, websites, Discord servers, social networks, or other resources without administration permission is prohibited.
2.9 Publishing or displaying in chats, nicknames, avatars, signs, or other communication media is prohibited for:
- pornographic content;
- shock content;
- offensive or provocative images;
- prohibited symbols.
2.10 Discussing punishments, administration decisions, third-party software checks, or internal project processes in public chat is prohibited. Such matters are handled via official report or appeal systems.
2.11 Abuse of global, local, or voice chat is prohibited, including deliberate provocations, insults, noise, voice spam, or other actions that disrupt normal communication.
2.12 Inciting political, ethnic, religious, or other conflicts that create a toxic environment is prohibited.
2.13 Insulting the project or its administration and deliberate discreditation on chats and official platforms are prohibited.
Gameplay
3.1 Using third-party software, scripts, macros, injectors, or other means that provide a gameplay advantage is prohibited. (Also regulated by clause 1.12.)
3.2 Using game, server, map, object, or mechanic bugs to gain advantage, bypass limits, or harm gameplay is prohibited. (Also regulated by clause 1.9.)
3.3 Playing with a cheater or benefiting from their actions (joint play, resource/loot transfers, etc.) is prohibited. Clanmates may be punished if involvement is proven.
3.4 Bypassing game mechanics, server limits, or mode features (Vanilla+, Modded) for unfair advantage is prohibited.
3.5 Building bases, placing objects, or storing loot in locations inaccessible by standard gameplay methods is prohibited.
3.6 Creating structures or mechanisms that significantly reduce FPS, cause server lag, or affect stability is prohibited. Administration may remove such builds without compensation and apply penalties.
3.7 Stream sniping — using information from player streams or deliberately targeting streamers for advantage — is prohibited.
3.8 Actions aimed at abusing server mechanics, modified systems, or mode features to disrupt balance are prohibited.
3.9 PvP, raids, offline raids, and competition for resources, bases, and territory are part of standard gameplay and are not violations unless combined with other rule breaches.
3.10 Administration does not intervene in standard gameplay, including raids (including offline raids), PvP, loot loss, base destruction, and in-game conflicts, except when project rules are violated.
Clans, Limits, and Allies
4.1 Players must comply with the clan limit set on each server. Limits are stated in server descriptions and on official project resources.
4.2 A clan is any group of players cooperating in gameplay, regardless of in-game clan UI membership.
4.3 Exceeding clan limits by any means is prohibited, including joint combat, PvP coordination, raids, or base defense.
4.4 Neutral and social interaction between clans is allowed if it does not provide gameplay advantage or joint combat intent.
4.5 Joint raids or base sieges by multiple clans are prohibited if total participants exceed the server limit.
4.6 Joint PvP assistance between clans is prohibited, including joint attacks, combat cover, finishing opponents, and other combat cooperation beyond limits.
4.7 Temporary alliances for joint raids, PvP, base defense, or domination are treated as clan limit violations.
4.8 One-time resource trades or brief interaction between clans is not a violation if there is no systematic cooperation or joint combat.
4.9 Systematic resource, loot, gear, or value transfers between clans to bypass limits may be treated as a violation.
4.10 Different clans living nearby is not a violation by itself, but joint combat or coordination may be treated as an alliance exceeding limits.
4.11 Random encounters, neutral communication, ignoring each other, or one-off interactions are not violations.
4.12 Administration may determine alliances, claning, or limit violations based on combined factors: joint actions, coordination, combat/raid participation, resource transfers, and other interaction signs.
Cheat Verification
5.1 Administration may call any player for verification if third-party software use is suspected.
5.2 Verification is conducted at the time of the call. The player must:
- remain on the server;
- join the official project Discord;
- enable screen sharing;
- follow administrator instructions during the check.
5.3 The player must appear for verification within the deadline set by administration. Ignoring a verification call may be treated as refusal.
5.4 Refusal or interruption of verification is treated as a violation. Refusal includes:
- leaving the server during a verification call;
- refusing to join project Discord;
- disconnecting from voice channels;
- shutting down the computer;
- refusing screen sharing;
- refusing administrator requirements;
- deleting files/programs or concealing information before or during a check.
5.5 Verification may use specialized safe tools aimed solely at detecting prohibited software related to Rust (including auxiliary analysis tools).
5.6 Verification tools are not intended to access personal data (passwords, private messages, photos, or unrelated personal files).
5.7 Disclosing information about verification process, methods, tools, or internal procedures is prohibited.
5.8 Final verification decisions are made by administration based on all collected data.
5.9 Average verification time is up to 30 minutes and may be changed by administration depending on the situation.
5.10 From the moment of a verification call/notice, the player must not take actions to conceal information, delete files/programs, or alter system state before or during verification.
Administration
6.1 Project administration monitors rule compliance and order on servers and official platforms.
6.2 Administration may apply penalties when violations are proven, in accordance with project rules.
6.3 Administration may issue penalties without prior warning if a violation is recorded and confirmed.
6.4 Administration may remove builds, objects, entities, and other world elements without compensation for rule violations, mechanic abuse, or server load issues.
6.5 Administration is not obliged to return lost loot, resources, or other values, except cases recognized as technical errors by head administration.
6.6 Administration may withhold violation evidence and internal check methods if disclosure could harm project security or detection processes.
6.7 Project administration does not participate in gameplay as players. Administrators and moderators are project staff performing official duties only.
6.8 Staff are prohibited from using powers or alt accounts for gameplay advantage, PvP, raids, farming, or other player activities.
6.9 Administration may use service commands, teleportation, spectator mode, and other admin tools for checks, monitoring violators, technical support, and maintaining order.
6.10 Administration must behave respectfully toward players, act within project rules, and not abuse authority.
6.11 Deceiving administration, providing false information, bribery, threats, blackmail, slander, or pressure on staff is a serious violation.
6.12 Insulting, discrediting, or provoking administration to disrupt work or undermine project authority is prohibited.
6.13 Leaking staff personal data, moderation internals, verification processes, or other non-public service information is prohibited.
6.14 Recording and distributing conversations from checks, calls, or other official procedures without administration consent is prohibited.
6.15 Staff composition, appointments, removals, and authority changes are handled exclusively by head administration.
6.16 Administration may resolve disputes not explicitly covered by rules based on project interests, fair play, and community standards.
6.17 Administration may use screenshots, videos, logs, stream recordings, and other materials as violation evidence.
In-Game Property
7.1 In-game property (resources, items, builds, in-game currency, and progress) is part of gameplay and has no real-world monetary value.
7.2 Planned wipes are conducted on project servers. Wipe schedules (weekly, biweekly, monthly, etc.) are listed in server descriptions and official resources.
7.3 After a wipe, all player progress, builds, resources, and property are removed without restoration.
7.4 Administration is not obliged to restore lost property, including:
- loot lost in PvP or raids;
- resources stolen by other players;
- property lost due to player mistakes;
- items lost due to in-game mechanics.
7.5 In-game deals, trades, resource transfers, and player agreements are at players’ own risk. Administration is not a guarantor and is not obliged to intervene in player disputes.
7.6 In technical failures, server errors, or progress rollbacks, restoration is not guaranteed. Compensation may be granted individually if project fault is established.
7.7 Paid services, privileges, and bonuses are provided within gameplay. Donations do not grant invulnerability, punishment immunity, or balance-breaking advantages.
7.8 If an account is banned for rule violations, paid services, bonuses, or in-game values are not compensated.
7.9 Using bugs, dupes, or vulnerabilities to obtain property is prohibited and may result in removal of illegally obtained assets.
7.10 Administration may remove illegally obtained property or property gained through rule violations without compensation.
7.11 Buying/selling accounts, resources, services, or in-game values for real money (or equivalents), as well as brokering/advertising such services, is prohibited.
Project Platforms
8.1 Official RustArena platforms include game servers, the official website, the Discord server, the official Telegram channel, and other resources designated by administration as official.
8.2 The official website is the primary place for publishing rules, filing complaints, appeals, and other requests.
8.3 Project Discord is used for player support, verification, communication, and announcements, but the website remains the priority channel for complaints and appeals.
8.4 These rules apply to all official platforms, including servers, website, Discord, Telegram, and other project resources.
8.5 Official project information (wipes, updates, rule changes, announcements) is published on official resources. Players must track updates independently.
8.6 Messages to administration via private messages, third-party messengers, or unofficial channels are not official requests and may be ignored.
8.7 Creating or spreading fake accounts, servers, channels, or communities impersonating RustArena or its administration is prohibited.
8.8 Administration is not responsible for information on unofficial resources or technical failures of third-party platforms (Discord, Telegram, etc.).
8.9 Administration may restrict access to any official platform (website, Discord, Telegram, etc.) for rule violations, regardless of in-game server ban status.
8.10 When reviewing violations, administration may use materials from any project-related platforms, including servers, website reports, Discord, Telegram, official resource comments, private messages with staff, and photo/video materials on streaming or video platforms.
